The Awards Process

  • You (the public) can nominate yourself, colleagues, clients, peers and businesses in the relevant categories.
  • The results of nominations are then collated a shortlist is produced based on the number of nominations a person or business has received.
  • The voting form is then open to the public. We encourage all nominees to promote their nomination as much as possible to secure votes.
  • The winners are identified based on which nominee receives the most votes, with all nominees and votes reviewed by the appointed committee for overall final shortlist.
  • The Awards are the ‘people’s choice awards’ nominated and voted for by the business community and event partners
  • The Award Categories may differ in each region

Award Categories

  • The Inspirational Leader of the Year award honours leaders who have not only excelled in their professional achievements but have also made a lasting impact on their community. These leaders demonstrate resilience, integrity, and a strong sense of purpose, going beyond traditional business objectives to uplift and inspire those around them.

  • This award is open to all sectors and identifies outstanding young professionals from across the region.  Young professionals who consistently go above and beyond to ensure projects and deliver effectively.  Good communicators who enjoy being part of a team.  Individuals who appear destined to lead, showing exceptional talent and leadership skills. Individuals who show great promise for making cultural change and championing inclusion, diversity and equality. 

  • This award recognises legal organisations that excel for its people. Perhaps demonstrated through support for groups and individuals, driving culture change, investment in skills and training, innovations around flexible working, workplace wellbeing initiatives. Which legal firm has impressed you the most in the past 12 months, through making a positive difference in the wider community, championing client care and engagement?

  • Recognising an individual or business in the region that has demonstrated their ability and skill to network.  Recognised and known for connecting individuals and businesses across all sectors to build relationships and grow business.

Which funding business has impressed you the most in the past 12 months, through making a positive difference in the wider community, championing client care and engagement?

This award recognises creativity and innovation in marketing, PR and media, delivering outstanding campaigns.  Evident to the power of good relationships, communication and teamwork that delivers results and creates a healthy and prosperous working environment.

  • Nominations for this award will come from Yorkshire-based architectural practices operating in the property sector which have made significant contributions to developments.  The people choice will look for innovation in the firm’s approach to planning and site issues and overall quality of building design.
