    The Ceremony, where the winners will be announced takes place on 17th September 2025 at First Direct Arena  Leeds.

    Celebrating the achievements of multi-cultural business communities in the North of England.  Honouring individuals and businesses for outstanding achievement and contribution.  To include diversity, inclusion and equality.

    This event is a collaboration between FB Fashion Ball, NPH and YABA. The first of its kind in the North of England and will host a regional and international multicultural Fashion Show.

The Awards Process

  • You (the public) can nominate yourself, colleagues, clients, peers and businesses in the relevant categories.
  • The results of nominations are then collated a shortlist is produced based on the number of nominations a person or business has received.
  • The voting form is then open to the public. We encourage all nominees to promote their nomination as much as possible to secure votes.
  • The winners are identified based on which nominee receives the most votes, with all nominees and votes reviewed by the appointed committee for overall final shortlist.
  • The Awards are the ‘people’s choice awards’ nominated and voted for by the business community and event partners

Award Categories

  • Inspirational Female & Male Leader

    The Inspirational Business Leader of the Year award honors a female and male leader who have not only excelled in their professional achievements but have also made a lasting impact on their community. These leaders demonstrate resilience, integrity, and a strong sense of purpose, going beyond traditional business objectives to uplift and inspire those around them.

    Empathy and Compassion, Mentorship and Empowerment, Community Impact, Organizational Growth, Innovation

  • Emerging Young Female & Male Leader

    This award is open to all sectors and identifies outstanding young professionals from across the region.  Young professionals who consistently go above and beyond to ensure projects and deliver effectively.  Good communicators who enjoy being part of a team.  Individuals who appear destined to lead, showing exceptional talent and leadership skills. Individuals who show great promise for making cultural change and championing inclusion, diversity and equality. 

  • Legal Employer of the Year

    This award recognises legal organisations that excel for its people. Perhaps demonstrated through support for groups and individuals, driving culture change, investment in skills and training, innovations around flexible working, workplace wellbeing initiatives. Which legal firm has impressed you the most in the past 12 months, through making a positive difference in the wider community, championing client care and engagement?

  • Community Connector of the Year

    Recognising an individual or business in the region that has demonstrated their ability and skill to network.  Recognised and known for connecting individuals and businesses across all sectors to build relationships and grow business.

    This award recognises financial organisations that excel for its people. Perhaps demonstrated through support for groups and individuals, driving culture change, investment in skills and training, innovations around flexible working, workplace wellbeing initiatives.   • Accountancy Employer of the Year

    This award recognises accountancy firms that excel for its people. Perhaps demonstrated through support for groups and individuals, driving culture change, investment in skills and training, innovations around flexible working, workplace wellbeing initiatives.   • Marketing, PR and Media Team of the Year

    Achieving results through creative digital platforms as part of their full circle marketing/media strategy.

  • Architectural Employer of the Year

    Nominations for this award will come from Yorkshire-based architectural practices operating in the property sector which have made significant contributions to developments.  The people choice will look for innovation in the firm’s approach to planning and site issues and overall quality of building design.
